I see you. I feel you.
The first song I made in FL Studio — built from a guitar loop, shaped by experimenting, and carried forward because the message mattered more than perfection.
FEEL was the first song I made in FL Studio, and the first song I wrote that made me think: I want to take this further. I started with a guitar loop and played it over and over, trying different styles and genres until I eventually came back to the original direction that felt right.
My friend Morné Venter sang with me on the song.
I was recording at home, not in a professional studio. I had a cheap microphone, very little production experience and no music producer behind me. I knew the recording was not the quality it could have been — but I also knew I wanted the message to exist outside my head and my computer.
So I made it anyway. I learned while creating, released music before I felt completely ready, and chose the message over waiting for perfect conditions.
Sometimes creating is not about being ready. It is about using what you have to give the message a way out.

The original A4 lyric page keeps the process visible — typed lines, handwritten changes and the emotional notes that helped shape the song: angry, sad, joyful, mad.

Each version carries the same message through a different emotional colour.
